"Stethoscope & Pen: Journey of a Healer" was inspired by real patient experiences from the author's time as a hospital intern and in-home caregiver for patients with physical and mental disabilities. Spending time caring for these patients provided the author an opportunity to listen to their stories and witness how their conditions affected them, and how much compassion could positively impact their experience. Each poem honors the patients who left a lasting impression and taught profound lessons about compassion, resilience, and human connection.

 Dziemhong Thi Pham, whose pen name is Chaotic Sunshine, is a dyslexic artist and writer whose work explores the worlds that live behind words and the worlds that exist when words fail us. For years, dyslexia felt like a barrier between herself and language, a badge of shame worn quietly. But over time, she discovered that her unique relationship with words, the way letters shift, the way meaning must be excavated rather than assumed, became a gift. After nearly two decades of writing in notebooks tucked into forgotten corners, her poetry finally emerges into the light. Each piece marks a step in an ongoing journey of self-discovery, shaped by travels across different lands and experiences.
