Swing In the Wind

By: Bob Umberhandt, MD

You’re perseverating again

This time, it’s about whether Pompeii was in ‘72 or ‘73.

I see your thought letting go like an oak leaf in October.

Frosted in the morning and stiffening against the wind.

It isn’t like a record skipping, restarting, skipping, restarting.

Rather, an empty swing being battered about in the wind.

Just recognizable enough to be a swing
